I hail from the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago where I spent my formative and adolescent years in a tropical island paradise. With a desire to experience more of the world, I set out and have been on an (sometimes unbelievable) migrant journey.

On my first international pursuit, I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and subsequently progressed through the professional ranks as an Accounting/Finance professional over a decade in the United States. Although I lived a full life there, I desired a new life experience, and was convinced that greater knowledge of the "back end" of operations, as well as learning to code would be critical acumen for future employability; thus I sought a career change.
Approaching a decade since, I'm now a versatile Data professional based in Berlin, Germany, primarily focused on Analytics Engineering. My move into data began with a Masters Degree in Project Management and Data Science and continued as a Data Analyst/Engineer / Analytics Engineer.

I help businesses go from guesswork to decisions they can trust — collecting, cleaning, transforming, modelling and presenting it, all the way through.
On a softer note, here's a touch of insight into the things that I'm passionate about outside of my professional life.
Wherever I see an opportunity to bring data, that sits in darkness, to light (especially when it's attached to a hobby of mine) I do my best to collect it, transform/standardise it and make it easily accessible to everyone.
Take Coffee Shops as an example. I'm a huge fan of Coffee Shops - the buzz of people, the community, the community. Sometimes when working remotely, I might need a change of environment, so I'd go to a Coffee Shop. But when I do so, I'd need good WiFi, access to plugs to keep charged if I plan to spend a few hours, etc. Empirical data like this didn't exist in an easily accessible way, so I set out on a journey to not just centralise this data for several Coffee Shops worldwide (also creating a useful metric) also to allow others to contribute to the data collection and presentation so this project may live on since I, sadly, can't visit every Coffee Shop in the world.

I'm an athletically inclined person - In my younger years, I've trained to swim, play tennis, and in track and field (I'd even taken piano classes for a decade) so generally, I love sports. And of all exciting sports out there, F1, while it may seem like just sitting and driving in circles, is the most exciting.
It's not just going in circles (no track is a circle) but I don't believe that there's any sport has as many data point that are factors that influence performance/success as in F1 e.g. neck strength (who would've thought)! If you're not a fan, I'll give you 3 facts about F1 that I think are quite cool:
An F1 car can drive upside down (technically)
F1 drivers lose about 2-3kg of weight per race
F1 drivers experience up to 6 times gravitational force in a race
There's also an aspect of integrity and honour that is part of the heavily regulated sport that draws me. If you're interested, let's talk data and strategy.
Salsa dancing opened up the world to me, given its extensive international community. I would argue that If I hadn't started dancing, I'd not be living in Europe.
While the aspects of community, fitness and socialising are great, beyond the fun, there's a truly nerdy side of the music. There are various unique instruments that are used in Salsa music, and nailing the timing as well as understanding the layers and intricacies is a mini math lesson itself. Also, understanding the historical context and evolution is critical to improving one's skill. It's a great hobby that emulates many life (including professional) applications.
Would you believe I've farmed data for Salsa as well? It gives dancers a chance to connect over events and provides demographic and (intended) attendance summaries as well. I'd say I have a knack for this data collection/presentation thing.
